International Coalition: Targeting Ain Al-Asad Air Base in Iraq with several missiles

The spokesman for the International Coalition to Combat ISIS, Colonel Wayne Maruto, said today, Monday, that the Ain Al-Asad air base was hit by several missiles.

The spokesman indicated - in a statement reported by the Iraqi "Alsumaria News" channel, today, Monday, that "no injuries were reported, and the damage is being assessed."

"Every attack on the Iraqi government, the Kurdistan government, and the coalition undermines the authority of Iraqi institutions, the rule of law, and Iraqi national sovereignty," he added.

The Iraqi News Agency (NINA) quoted an Iraqi security source as saying: that warning sirens were sounded inside the Ain Al-Assad base, while the American forces closed the wing of helicopters after violent explosions sounded inside the base.
