Pochettino: Mbappe's injury is not a cause for concern and he will be ready for Manchester City

Argentine coach Mauricio Pochettino, coach of the French Paris Saint-Germain team, stressed that Kylian Mbappe was not seriously injured during his team's match today, Saturday, in front of Metz in the confrontation that ended with the Parisian team winning three goals for a goal in the 34th round of the French League.

Kylian Mbappe came out as a substitute, succumbed to the injury in the last minute of the match, before Manchester City's signing in the Champions League semi-final first leg, scheduled for next Wednesday night at the "Princes Garden."

"Kilian took a hit in the thigh muscles," Pochettino said in remarks right after the match.

The coach of Paris Saint-Germain added, "Mbappe is in good shape and he will be ready to face Manchester City on Wednesday. We have reviewed the medical examination on him, we are not worried about him."

Pochettino added, "We controlled the match well and we deserve to win and it is very important to fight for the French League title .. It is time to focus in the Champions League and prepare for the next Manchester City match in the semi-final first leg."

Pochettino said of the Brazilian Marquinhos, "We will see how Marquinhos will be on Wednesday. He is now training well, we hope he is available."

Paris Saint-Germain occupies the top of the French League standings with 72 points, two points behind the runner-up Lille with 70 points, who face Lyon tomorrow, while Metz ranks ninth with 43 points.

Superstar Kylian Mbappe scored the first and second goals of Paris Saint-Germain in the fourth and 59th minutes, to consolidate his lead in the scorers' ranking with 25 goals, while substitute Mauro Icardi scored the third goal in the 89th minute from a penalty kick in the manner of "Panenka".

Metz's only goal was scored by Fabienne Cuntons in the 46th minute.
