Macron and his Mauritanian counterpart are discussing the security situation in the coast



Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Sheikh El-Ghazwani discussed with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron the issues related to the security situation in the Sahel region and the efforts to cancel the debts of the G5 countries.


During a working dinner held by the French President, the two presidents discussed the results of Mauritania during its presidency of the Group of Five in the Sahel, and mobilized military, economic and political support for the benefit of the Group of Five in the Sahel.

The meeting also touched on the regular and strict follow-up of the implementation of the "Bo Conference" map, which was held in France last year, and deepening awareness of the need for the international community to assume its responsibilities regarding the situation on the coast.
