Iraq announces the return of 3,261 displaced people to their areas in Nineveh, in the north of the country

Today, Saturday, the Iraqi Ministry of Immigration announced the return of 3,261 displaced persons, as a new batch from Salamiyya camps in Nineveh Governorate, to their original areas of residence. As part of the emergency plan organized by the ministry to return the displaced.

The director general of the branch affairs department in the ministry, Ali Abbas Jahakir, said in a statement reported by the Iraqi "Alsumaria News" channel that "a new batch of displaced persons, about 694 families, has been returned, of 3,261 displaced people from Al Salamiyah camps to their areas in Mosul, Al Baaj, Rabia Tal Afar, Tal Abta, Zummar, Kairouan sub-district and its affiliated villages in Nineveh.

The Iraqi official added that "the return of the displaced came after completing the security check for them, in coordination with the administrative and security authorities in the governorates, and they were brought to their original areas of residence, in preparation for closing the camp."
