Indonesian media announced today that it had found parts of debris in northern Jakarta believed to be from the Sriwijaya Air plane, with which contact was lost.
And local media reported that communication with a Sriwijaya Air plane was lost after it took off from the Indonesian capital Jakarta on Saturday on its way to Pontianak, the capital of West Kalimantan Province.
The company said in a statement that it was still gathering more detailed information about the flight before it was able to issue any statement.
